The track plan allows running of short passenger and freight trains and shunting/switching operations as well. The scenery in the layout is only sketched and you can expand it with more items, like roads, houses, one more branch and so on. The layout is build with sectional tracks and uses flex-tracks only in the station area, but you can change all the tracks to flexes if you prefer that.

One example operation could be the following: an empty train with 3-4 platform coaches is starting from the train station to the left and passing through the tunnel under the forest; after the passing of the turnout between the tunnel and the level crossing, the loco stops and the turnout is switched to the wood-cutting area branch; then the loco pushes the coaches to the wood-cutting area tracks and leaves them there for loading; if there are already loaded coaches on the second track, the loco couples to them and continues to the train station; on arriving, the train stops and pushes the coaches back to the lumber mill yard; as the lumber mill yard is a little bit shorter than the tracks in the wood-cutting area, it may be needed additional shunting/switching for moving half of the coaches to the second track.

Other possible operations could be running of one or two short passenger trains (one at a time), which meets and waits at the station while other passenger or freight train is running on the main line.

From time to time, you can pass a service train at a low speed to inspect the route and another train with only one passenger coach to transfer the workers to and from the forest.
