Description

The proposed design features a single line in compact oval for running of short passenger and freight trains. It is planned for a standard DC operation, but may be used also with DCC equipment. There are 8 turnouts total - six of them are at the station (in front) and can be manually operated, while the other two (on the opposite side) are too far and should be remotely operated. The station in the plan is only marked by a rough building, so any ready or custom-made building may be used and also its location can be changed, depending on the layout's owner wish.

Operations

A typical operation may be running of one or two trains (one at a time). The running train may go on the oval, or may be running through the figure “8”, while the other is waiting in the station. When the first train stops, the other train may do 1-2 loops and then switch the direction in one of the reverse loops.
