Description
Here is what Filip says about his layout project:
"It's a rural & coastal type of branchline with a rather 'narrow gauge feel' since I love this type of Railroads. Plus the fact that the late Paul Scoles inspired me with his type of 'imaginary' and overall feel. I also tried to follow guidelines & info from Lance Mindheim, to keep things simple and manageable. It's not my first build but it's always a challenge to build in this size.
At a glance: HO scale - Size 23' x 18' - Mainline run approx. 210' - Time period: Spring 1955 - Steam power: Then Wheelers & Moguls & Tank engines & early Diesel Railcar. Max.Train length 51". Some mixed traffic. 50/50 Freight and Passenger service.
Peco Streamline code 100 ( I have rolling stock dating back 80's). Turnouts Medium and Small for industries. Min Radius 24". Max Grade 1,5%. NCE DCC control. ( I started with the Power Cab and will upgrade as I go along ) Separate feeder 'Bus' for Signaling & Turnout control with SEEP PM-1 Solenoids. Control panels with led indication etc."
