Description
The track plan consists of one outer oval line in Standard Gauge and one more U-shaped inner line in O gauge, passing through the tunnels. There are two more small independent ovals in O gauge, located on the two sides of the Xmas tree and inside the U-shaped line. Then there is another Standard Gauge on the second level which crosses as double “8” around the Xmas tree and one more Standard Gauge circle on the third and highest level. Five different trains can traverse the five routes at the same time, making the unique Christmas atmosphere and experience.
Here is what Mike says about his Christmas layout project:
"This is what I did last year. It's both STD and O. The whole thing was made out of XPS foam. After Christmas, I stored it up in the garage rafters so I'll be trying to reuse it ... The central tree platform is made out of wood. If you have the ceiling height, then a tree platform is an easy way to squeeze in another loop. I'll change it up this year but I'm not sure how yet. I realize it's a little over-the-top but maybe you can get some ideas from it."
